Affiliate Marketing Junkie -
Why another blog about affiliate marketing!?

Because I choose to? : )

A better answer would be that in conjunction with a New Year’s Resolution (that I would not put much effort into the “Affiliate Marketing Make / Money Online” racket), but rather focus my energy on -

alternate markets

product creation

off-line SEO / SEM

etc…

The main reason for the above resolution is multi-part, but most importantly -

I’m just not a very competitive person.

And if there is a more competitive, dog eat dog market than the make Money online market -

I can’t think of one (at this moment at least…)

It’s a lot easier to make money in many other markets for the following reasons:

as the competition is often a lot less

the broad niche or market is often a lot larger / less saturated

(and most importantly?) the buyers are a lot less cynical!

yes, there are many other reasons as well

Ironically, the above decision brought with it the idea of getting on with this blog, started long ago and left dormant – just for fun!

(That may mean that among other heresies, I might not always be using keyword optimized titles -

Horror!!!)

A way of forcing me to put my thoughts(and like you I have many) into print.

For my enjoyment, and hopefully for yours.

So although this won’t be a completely altruistic venture.

I will be using affiliate links, after all I’m not completely crazy.

However, the main purpose of this blog will be informational, with hopefully the 3E’s occasionally coming into play.

i.e.-Entertaining, Educational, and(even!) Enlightening!

Enjoy!

P.S. Credit where credit is due department, it was actually this post (made on my birthday) that first sparked my desire to create this blog. Am I slow or what?

(Maybe one day I’ll be able to write as well as Rick Butts…)

12 Biggest Whores in Internet Marketing

Certainly not a super guru, not a regular guru, not even a mini guru.
(Even though quite a few people have looked to him for assistance in a closely related field.).

But, it doesn’t really matter who I am, and for the following two reasons I decided to leave it at that for now:

As of yet, work on my fortified underground bunker is not quite complete.

I still work at a “real J. O. B.” (in a closely related industry), and it just seems the best to allow for maximum freedom of expression.
Which I believe will be achieved by remaining anonymous this point.

Perhaps a contest?
If and when I reach X number of readers/subscribers and then lift the veil (or more precisely the bag).

In the meantime, just take this blog for what it is -
one persons take on this (crazy) industry, a person with no vested interest in promoting anything they don’t actually believe in.
Because, although there is all too much crap floating around out there in cyberspace, there is also a lot (maybe not a lot, but enough?) good stuff too and there’s really no excuse for not focusing on that.

So while I’ll never be as salty as The Salty Droid (or probably ever as deeply knowledgeable as he seems to be – about the industry);
I won’t be watching the world through rose colored glasses either, or mindlessly promoting every single thing that comes down the pike…

All the Best,
AMJ

Linking Policies is a post from: Affiliate Marketing Junkie

For those of you who just fell off the turnip truck, and anyone else who might be interested -

Linking Policies for AffiliateMarketingJunkie.com -

Many, but not all links will be of an affiliate nature-

i.e.- they are links that (if I’m lucky), you may click.

If I’m even luckier… you’ll buy from said links.

I’m not a big fan of pseudo (and not so pseudo) -reviews, and I think you know I’m talking about.

Therefore I won’t be doing too many of those- if any at all…

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, I’m referring to the following -

Self-serving pseudo-reviews made by people who never bought the product.

Self-serving, real reviews that pretend to be objective, but subtly (and not so subtly) push you to the foregone conclusion – You Must Buy That!

The better quality pseudo / real review – the ones that actually give you some useful information (from someone who actually bought the product) and give you some insights that actually help you make an informed buyers choice.

Linking Policy:

It’s all in the links.

What do I mean by that?

Simple -

by looking at the URLs of my links, you’ll be able to tell what my feelings (or lack of) are about any given product, program, vendor, etc…

e.g.-

http://affiliatemarketingjunkie.com/highly-recommends/Give-Me-All-Your-Money-Now.html

http://affiliatemarketingjunkie.com/recommends/Give-Me-All-Your-Money-Now.html

http://affiliatemarketingjunkie.com/of-interest/Give-Me-All-Your-Money-Now.html

http://affiliatemarketingjunkie.com/scam-alert/Give-Me-All-Your-Money-Now.html

etc…

I’m sure you get the idea.

I will only recommend / highly recommend purchases for the following reasons:

I’ve tried it myself.

I’ve had a previous favorable experience with the vendor of the product.

It was recommended by a very trusted source

However, there will be links scattered in by third-party advertising programs, that will be just like advertising on the TV or radio program.

I’m just going to have to assume that you are a mature adult and are capable of making intelligent choices…

If you ever have a bad experience with one of them, feel free to drop me a line and I’ll do my best to eliminate them.

Resources I’ll be using/trying out for my linking strategies.

WARNING: Blatant affiliate links approaching rapidly!

MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate

Cloak N Rotate

Power Cloaker Plus

They all have different feature sets and capabilities, and I think they should be complementary.

And since this is an experimental blog, I will be experimenting with them…

You have been warned.
